Green tea is one of the most popular tees int he world. One of the many reasons isn't just because of its great taste but in fact the health benefits that come with drinking it.
Green tea builds stamina and immunity, prevents tooth loss, reduces risk of cancer, tones muscles and skin, eliminates hangovers, improves blood circulation, reduces cholesterol and delays the signs of aging. With all this being said I am going to go in and explain how each one of these things are made possible.
Antioxidants in Green Tea
Green tea has natural antioxidants that help fight off oxidative stress. This comes in many forms of ailments such as cancer, arthritis, strokes, and heart diseases, but it doesn't stop there. Did you know that green tea helps your body fight other ailments as well like heart disease, Parkinson's disease, and different respiratory diseases? When your body is unable to handle free radicals, your body is more susceptible to conditions such as these. This is why our bodies need external sources for antioxidants. According to my research green tea contains the highest level of antioxidants when compared to other teas. This is because unlike other teas it doesn't require as much processing. To make green tea they take the leaves of Camellia Sinesis and rapidly steam them to activate the enzymes to prevent fermentation and oxidation of the essential compound that we need. As a result, the tea has natural flavor compounds.
Cancer prevention
Green tea helps fight off inflammation which is another reason it is so good for you. Cancer studies have proven that there is a strong link between oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and cancer. This stress aids the transformation of normal cells to inflammatory or tumor cells. inflammation in the eyes of many medical professionals is the number one cause of deaths. The antioxidants in green tea reduce the risk of cancer by slowing down the oxidative damage processes in our bodies. Which stop cancer cells from growing and sometimes even kills them.
Prevention of heart disease
Causes in heart disease include low physical activity and a diet high in saturated fats. This leads to clog arteries. green tea has two ways that prevent heart disease. Such as helps the proper function of cells, which prevent atherosclerosis. Inflammation leads to this. Secondly it promotes fat oxidation and prevents obesity. Green tea also helps accelerate fitness recovery faster than usual.
UV Protection
UV radiation comes from the sun and is linked to various health complications. This includes DNA damage, and skin cancers like melanoma and non-melanoma. Green tea can't block the UV rays of course but it reduces the effects of free radicals and prevents inflammation that is caused by extensive exposure to sun rays. When green metabolizes it finds it way into your skin tissue fluids. They then form a kind of protection guard against the effect of UV rays. Studies have shown that people who consume green tea have less red skin than those who do not.
In conclusion, green tea helps with taking down the risk of inflammation which causes a lot of health problems. So why not go get you a warm glass of green tea to help your body. Green tea also helps relax you and get creativity flowing. You really can't go wrong with green tea.
